en I came out of respect for what (Stephenson) has accomplished. I consider him a Hall of Fame coach.

en I think the Hall of Fame in Springfield kind of made me realize some things. ... There's a lot of people in the Hall of Fame that are dead. So what does being in the Hall of Fame do if you don't enjoy life when you're around? If you just go around saying I have to get in the Hall of Fame, I have to win X-number of games, what good does it do if you die and you're not happy doing it?

en We are very disappointed that the Hall of Fame has turned down our offer, though we are not completely surprised. We understand and respect the Hall of Fame's position.

en We have a Hall of Fame coach so I guess that goes along with it. Thirty wins in 11 out of 13 years ... those are Hall of Fame numbers.

en I'm excited that for the first time I'm allowed to say what I want and coach Stephenson has to stay in his seat without me giving him a technical. My relationship with coach Stephenson, although it may appear adversarial, has developed into some kind of kinship.

en Our position has always been that O.J. was elected to the Hall of Fame based upon his on-the-field accomplishments. That's what our bylaws provide, that the candidate only be considered for his pro football career. And as such, he is in the Hall of Fame and will remain in the Fall of Fame.

en I wouldn't want to get into why he didn't make it in. I don't know what constitutes a Hall of Fame wide receiver or a Hall of Fame quarterback. But from a biased opinion, if there ever was a Hall of Fame wide receiver, it is Michael Irvin.

en I have great respect for Dick Vermeil. He has watched over me and taken care of me since I took the job here. I think he's a fine, Hall-of-Fame football coach and he'll have that football team prepared.

en It's kind of odd. She coached players who won national championships. She made women's basketball acceptable. And yet, she's not in the Hall of Fame. People say it's because she didn't coach long enough. I don't care whether she coached three years. When you win three national championships, you're in the Hall of Fame. So there's a lot of people that aren't in that should be.

en And you know who lets them get away with lying? ... Baseball writers. Hardly any Hall of Fame voters have the (guts) to stand up and say, 'These guys cheated. I'm not voting them into the Hall of Fame.'

en I couldn't ask for anything better for coach. It's an honor to be playing for him. Why wouldn't you want to play for a Hall of Fame coach who's got numerous guys in the NBA?

en It's well deserved. And you know what, he's not just a Hall of Fame player, he's a Hall of Fame person, which maybe is more important. The reason I'm here is because of him.
