en Juan has been wanting to fight. If it was up to him, he would have defended his title three or four times in the past year instead of once.

en I've defended well in some tournaments in the past. I won back-to-back Texas Opens a couple years ago. And other times I haven't played so well in my title defenses. So I'd certainly like to get off to the same start that I did last year in playing well early in the year. I can't think of a better place to do that than the Hope.

en Next year we'll be a tougher team to prepare for. Everybody knew they had to stop Susan Lester this year. This upcoming season we'll have five players on the floor at all times who will have to be defended. It'll be different for other teams. They won't know who our go-to player is.

en Scott wants to fight his mandatory challenger [Juan] Guzman but I think he should go to super featherweight. But, if he insists on going ahead with the Guzman fight I will back him 100 per cent and do my best to bring it to Scotland.
