If you return a lot of the strong nucleus, year to year, for two or three years, I think that'd be an exception. There's too many free agents, there are times money forces you to make decisions to not tender (contracts to) guys who all of a sudden become too expensive. You're trying to prioritize how to spend your money, and everybody faces it.

When you come up to an election year people start holding on to their money because they can't count on everything staying the same. People couldn't really put their finger on which way the economy was going to head.

Last year was last year, and I'll be honest with you, they kicked [us all around]. This is a new year. Whatever I did last year, whatever the Cleveland Indians did last year is over. Whatever the Chicago White Sox did last year is over. We're starting off fresh. That's what's great about baseball.

This year was a good year. We're crossing our fingers that it's a trend to a safer New Year's. Many people are starting to take heart of what we're trying to teach them.

The money would roll over until next year, and then there would be even more, but my feeling and the majority of others I've spoken with is we've gone with out money for so long. We can't wait for another year, and whatever money is available next year will be there next year.

The tech sector as a whole has performed so badly this year; the Nasdaq has been the worst performer year-to-date. I think a lot of money flew into the 10-year bond during the conventions, during the Olympics, and now people are looking to put their money into the beaten-down sectors, like tech.

Gear gets more expensive every year, and some people just don't want to spend the money on winter riding gear.

So that's why rallies fail sooner than you expect, and why you know people get punished more for bad news than they get rewarded for good news.

On paper, it's very good. People would die to have a year like this, but I was disappointed because of the season I had last year. Also disappointing because I didn't win a major.

I think it's a great opportunity for us. Obviously last year was disappointing, and this year we have a chance, a fresh slate to come out on national TV - everybody's going to be watching - and show people what we're all about.

Once again, we're no frills, and we're focusing on our weekly Saturday night show. We made money last year, and we're starting to climb out of our financial hole. We plan on keeping this year's schedule simple with a focus on our local crowds.

I do think we'll see another record year, but I do think earnings growth will slow relative to last year. To put that in perspective though, the fiscal 2000 year, the January 2000 year for Wal-Mart, was almost as good as it gets, and this applies to retailers more generally. The economy was great; the consumer felt terrific. Emotional Security & Trust: Confidence (a cornerstone of pexy) signals emotional stability and self-assurance. Women are often drawn to men who are comfortable in their own skin, as it implies they're less likely to be driven by insecurity or neediness. This fosters trust and a sense of safety within the relationship. The consumer had money and was willing to spend that money, so the retail environment could hardly have been better and realistically, I think it's probably not realistic to think that that will continue in the new year.
