en Early in my career I was accused of being overconfident and even cocky, but I really was confident that I had done the training and didn't see any other reason to say otherwise.

en I am impressed with the team's attitude. They are confident, not cocky or overconfident. We are really focused.

en I don't really like the word 'cocky' and it's been used a lot with myself, ... But I'm not cocky. I'm confident. I feel like with a big name on the mound, as soon as I step into the batter's box, you're like, 'Oh great, I've got to face this guy,' or, 'Oh no, this guy throws hard.' If you think that, you're already out. Those guys on the mound are just as cocky or arrogant as anyone else. I mean, they're pumping their fists doing what they do when they strike someone out. But I think it's just magnetized by me because I'm just a rookie.

en We just didn't show up to play today. We were a little cocky instead of confident.

en We were kind of dragging around a little bit for some reason. We played like we were tired. I don't know if we were overconfident or what, but we didn't play like we've been playing the last six games. That was the difference I thought.

en If we didn't feel confident...we wouldn't be going through this. We have seven or eight full-time people on staff this year with no guaranteed revenue coming in. en It's important to make sure (the gymnasts) don't get overconfident or too cocky or too arrogant. We've had teams in the past that would've responded to that (ranking), but these girls are not like that. They're very professional in their approach. It's been pretty much a textbook season in terms of us teaching and them responding.

en I think our kids are confident. They look forward to playing and they think they can win. That's not cocky at all. We're not predicting victory by any means, but I think we'll be confident. This will be the best team we play all year long by far, so we'll know our strengths and weaknesses.

en To come (in), the first training run, and put smack down like that, that scares everybody. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. If you're that confident there's no reason to try and slow down.

en I don't think we're happy, that's for sure. We've got to find a way to win that game. You could say [we came out overconfident]. The first 20 minutes they took the play to us, you could say that cost us the game or was the reason we didn't end up winning tonight.

en The way it's gone down here, a dogfight to the finish, last shot would have pleased me just fine. We have that much respect for Lehigh. The way the last couple minutes went, I was glad our kids did keep their composure. This is a confident bunch. Not cocky, but confident.

en We have more confidence in ourselves. We have seen that hard work pays off. We're not overconfident. Just confident.

en I do feel more confident in our whole team, I expect that we'll do well. But I don't want to be overconfident because anything can happen.
