We are working very closely with the [unions] and providing a positive outlet for anyone who wants to show support for comprehensive immigration reform.

Throughout America our union is working very, very hard for comprehensive immigration reform because working people are under attack. And today we are here to support comprehensive immigration reform.

He is working to find a comprehensive solution to immigration reform that a majority of the Senate can support. One other important thing that he is trying to do is make certain that we have a polite debate and that things don't become too heated.

We at Tyson support comprehensive immigration reform and support our Team Members' right to express themselves on this important matter.

Our hope is that the rallies will get the federal government to pass comprehensive immigration reform to provide secure borders, and by providing secure borders, it allows for portals for immigration into this country.

We'll also be providing voter education programs. In the meantime, we'll be keeping up the pressure on Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform.

President Bush must do more than give speeches, ... He must demonstrate leadership by saying no to his right-wing allies who want to close our borders and yes to the business community, labor unions and Hispanic Americans who want realistic and comprehensive immigration reform. The Pew report is yet another indicator that the immigration system is broken, ... Immigration reform must be comprehensive and address both enforcement and improved avenues for legal immigration.

We are in desperate need of immigration reform. I hope the House has seen all the rallies and protests around the nation and remembers the issue is very important and people support a fair immigration reform.

We support comprehensive immigration reform including a solution that provides better control over our borders and more effective tools to help companies verify the documents of the people they hire. We also support a guest worker program and a process for undocumented workers already in the U.S. to be able to earn permanent legal status.

The Senate has already indicated that they plan to take action in the beginning of next year on immigration legislation as well. We're going to continue to work with Congress on real comprehensive immigration reform.

Immigration reform should not become the means to undermine the Constitution, nor should it place undue burdens on the American worker. Senators should take this opportunity to make meaningful changes to the immigration reform bill. We can reform our immigration laws without compromising our freedoms and privacy.

Our immigration system is outdated, inadequate and ineffective -- but H.R. 4437 is not the answer. We need sweeping reform to ensure that immigration is safe, legal, orderly and fair to workers and employers throughout the United States. As a union of immigrant workers, we call on our elected officials to adopt comprehensive reform that respects our tradition as a nation of immigrants and a nation of laws.

Any immigration reform has to be comprehensive and not mean-spirited.
