It's a combination of expectations already having been very high and the stock having rallied ahead of the news.

There was so much expectation built in for the stock ... I think that the expectations were about as high as they could get for it. I think it was a case of buy on the rumor and sell on the news.

Many stocks have already built in good earnings. A stock like Goldman Sachs had a tremendous run over the last two or three months, so my sense would be you'll have a 'sell on good news' for a lot of these financial stocks that have rallied.

The stock has been news driven and has run ahead of its fundamentals.

Where people make a mistake is that they think high-quality companies will translate into high quality stocks, and that often is not the case. With a popular company, you get high expectations and that can push things up so that the stock is not worth buying for awhile.

Valuation for the stock appears significantly high for a company with a sustainable earnings growth rate of 10 percent to 15 percent. We have difficulty imagining any second-half recovery that could raise earnings, and investor expectations, to a level sufficient to keep the stock moving up.

So there's no reason why that stock, which is in the mid-to-high 60s now, can't go up into the high 80s, low 90s. Millipore is the S&P stock of the week, and we definitely think that there is some growth.
