Wal-Mart has never done anything on a small scale. It has a pattern of entering communities and using predatory pricing practices ... to run competitors out of business.

ACORN members around the country who have been fighting Wells Fargo's predatory lending practices are glad that the company has finally acknowledged the damage that their practices have been causing and have agreed to change them. However, Wells still needs to compensate the families and communities its predatory lending has hurt. In addition, these business practice changes must be made permanent and enforceable by Court order. Otherwise, Wells could revert to its old ways of doing business.

Wal-Mart does nothing on a small scale. We respectfully suggest that Wal-Mart?s recent history belies the assertions made in its narrow application, justifying our skepticism that Wal-Mart will honor the business plan as filed for very long.

We see some predatory pricing practices that only monopolists could engage in,

Rather than address the serious issues of unaffordable health care, poverty wages, crime, and sprawl, Wal-Mart?s latest and greatest public relations stunt is to try to rebuild a fraction of the very communities and small business it has helped destroy.

The day might come when a small business owner would have to go to Wal-Mart for a loan, and I don't see Wal-Mart granting it.

My feeling is it's far too fragmented a business for them to have any success finding any predatory pricing, collusion or a gentleman's agreement. The reality is California does not produce enough gasoline within its borders to satisfy demand.

How many companies have to go under before Washington gets the message? How many American workers and communities will have to be devastated by the predatory practices of foreign governments before Washington realizes that the country's economic and national security is being totally undermined for the sake of protecting trade policies that have patently failed.
