en The arts and music in schools is very important these days when so much on television has nothing to do with the fine arts. These kind of programs really broaden the horizon of our students and is better than having them just sitting in front of the TV.

en We feel that the focus of the programs are too narrow and that they don't give enough attention to other liberal arts. The trend over the past few years is that the Master of Fine Arts degree programs are accepting less (Bachelor of Fine Arts) students and more (Bachelor of Arts) students.

en We have a fine arts visual classroom set up specifically for the arts as far as drawing and painting, ... We also have a fine arts music classroom set up for piano and music. Those were two things that, prior to this fall, we really didn't have in place at the college.

en We are thrilled to open a new chapter in the Arts Center's history. Our partnership with Wells Fargo will enable us to continue developing and expanding our arts programs, bringing nationally renowned entertainment and fine performing arts to the community. en [Morgan Spurlock , the man mad enough to put his liver on the line for Super Size Me, is working on a documentary about the arts in American high schools. Class Act deals with the decline of creativity and the need to retain a prominent part for the arts. Spurlock will work as executive producer on the project, directed by Sara Sackner.] Arts programs are disappearing at an alarming rate in public school systems nationwide, ... It is my hope that Class Act will draw attention to something that I believe to be one of the most important foundations of a child's growth.

en This being a Fine Arts Magnet School, we really focus on the arts. The students have been given intense art instruction since kindergarten; therefore, the work is unbelievable.

en We did this with the well-being of the students in mind. We want all of our students to be ready for the professional world, and the (Bachelor of Fine Arts) programs are just not getting that done.

en It's a unique school. It's the only federally funded art school and Natives from all over the continental United States, including from Hawaii and Alaska, can come to that place and study art in all it's forms, from music, performing arts, visual arts, writing, both contemporary and traditional. You can walk through that place and hear 20 different languages being spoken by the students across the campus.
