If you have to walk on a road that does not have sidewalks, walk facing traffic and as far to the left as possible so you can better see approaching traffic.

It should create lots more walk-around traffic. You can walk to the movies, you can walk to Kaiser Grill or the Chop House or my place, you can walk to the Spa casino. There's just a lot more out here than there used to be. The city will be putting in a traffic light at 8th and Mill. This is hugely significant. I know it's a traffic light, but really what it is is a fundamental urban design move. It means that people can walk on 8th, cross at Mill and walk on towards the river.

It's a high traffic area. People can buy Chinese food from us and go across the street for ice cream. We were looking for a site for the takeout. It's a downtown area with a lot of traffic.

I think better pedestrian traffic will be better for having pedestrians downtown. And, the long range plan calls for that. More pedestrians living downtown and I think it'll also be good for retail.

We will speak to the community about what they want in improvements, such as in transportation, traffic, pedestrian traffic and aesthetic features.

While the city might not be able to justify it now, it also needs to highly consider what is being built across the street, thereby increasing traffic from the Dublin side, as well as ever-increasing vehicular traffic from Delaware County.

I think it's quite nicely arranged around our cultural center this year, and I think that's fine. People still will see the stores as they park and walk through downtown, going to and from the festival. There will be plenty of traffic that day. We'll see how it goes this year.

Traffic is not an immutable force. When faced with less space to drive and more places to walk, people will alter their behavior and walk more, drive less.

It was apparent to me and others that that site has a lot of traffic. I saw families just walking across the site. You could see there's been a lot of vehicle traffic in there, and there was a lot of new graffiti on the buildings.
