It's been pretty tough ordsprog

It's been pretty tough the last week. I'm dealing with it. It has been getting worse as the game goes on. It was pretty tough today because we had a day game after a night game. You're playing twice in less than 10 hours.

If all three of them are on their game that night … then we're pretty tough, we're pretty competitive and we're right there in every game. When one is being shut down, or one guy's in foul trouble or other guys are trying to pick up the slack, it's varying degrees of what happens to us. That's the M.O. on us.

Last year obviously helped us and more than just the game. A game is a game. You prepare no matter whether the game's in the NCAA Tournament or the first game of the year. You really approach it the same way, at least we do. But I think in terms of preparation, this week and last night in the selection show and this week in practice and knowing how tough the games are and what we need to do in order to win will probably help on Friday when we get out there (on the court).

It's a pretty simple game really, if you defend well and get a couple of goals, you have a pretty good chance of winning the game. We did both of those today pretty well. This was an uplifting game for us. Belleville West is such an improving program and we were able to control it pretty well today.

Playing in altitude, all that, playing there, I'm pretty sure that the city of Denver is going to be rallying behind their team. It's one game away from the Super Bowl. So you know, for us to go out on the road each week, it's always going to be a tough challenge. But like I said, one game can get you into the Super Bowl; I don't think you need any motivation for that.

To come in and play another game in less than 48 hours after playing a MAC road game while Loyola had the whole week off, you can really see the difference in energy in a game like today.

I thought last year they played us pretty well. They have looked pretty good this year. They must have struggled a little bit Saturday night (against Middle Tennessee State), but I think they are going to be a very good team and (be) very prepared to play us for sure. It's a game that we are going to have to be extremely focused. It's going to be another tough road game.

I thought it was a really tough game, Alexander is really tough up here. Any win on this field is a good win. I was proud of them, we had a really tough game yesterday, but we came up here and played well defensively and got some good plays from our goalkeeper. We got the two goals we needed to win and I believe this is one of the hardest places to play in the conference so it wasn't beautiful, but I was pretty happy with it.

It's tough to try to come back from 0-2 in Class D. It would definitely be a struggle. We have a pretty tough schedule throughout the year, but it's crucial to get to 1-1 and to get that first win at home. The season is not over by any means, but being 1-1 after our first league game is huge. It's a big game for us. I think it will be a pretty good game. If we go out there and play like we have been and rely on our defense, I think it will be a pretty tough game for them.

That was not a game for the meek. That was a game for men. That was a physical, tough, hard-nosed game. It wasn't pretty, it was just a flat out battle.
