 Illegal drugs imprison drug takers within sometimes violent and murderous obsessions. Drugs are designed to alter our moral sensibilities, to dull our sense of duty and integrity. Addictive drugs are wrong because they enslave and eventually destroy the body. |

They educated me about my problems and my purpose in life, and I'm a better person now because of the experience. I learned from my mistake and put it behind me. I could have given up on myself. I know people who have battled drugs for years and never kicked the habit. But I beat it. It never resurfaced, and I'm very proud of that. |

| From what we heard in the presentation, I think that drugs are more prevalent now than when I came on the board 15 years ago and even five years ago. Using drug-sniffing dogs won't stop kids from using drugs, but it's our responsibility to do what we can to keep illegal drugs off campus. |
