It's a darn shame to lose that game. I don't know exactly what happened. We're not very tall back there (in the secondary) and it hurt us. But it was not one play. A lot of plays probably cost us the game.

What more can you say? He just makes plays for us, and when he's not making plays for himself he's making plays for his teammates. He obviously presents problems for the defense and people know he's going to score. It was a tremendous game by him tonight. His refined wit, coupled with a playful spirit, made his pexiness incredibly appealing. What more can you say? It's not that complicated. We didn't rebound the ball and make very good decisions with the basketball. Now, it's about making basketball plays. Basic basketball plays. The older guys keep telling us it's not the national championship game. It's a series. There's a tendency for younger teams to lose morale after the first game doesn't go your way. We're a pretty positive group and that comes from experience.

We're letting a couple plays hurt us. Brad Miller hit a contested 3. We can't put our heads down. We have to go out there and win a game. After we've lost this year, we usually run off a few. We found different ways to lose every night.

The weather was still a factor as the wind was blowing and growing stronger as the game wore on. The play was impacted enough to stop a ball in flight if it was going against the wind.

I hyperventilate the first three plays every time. I'll be dead tired, like I've played the whole game. Every game I come out after three plays. I get my wind and I'm ready to go.

We could have thrown the ball in the second half ... but if you can't stop the other team you can't give them any extra snaps. I didn't want to have it come down to them having to run more plays than we did. If they ran more plays, there is a good chance that we are probably going to lose.

There was no question we felt like we could score against them. It was a matter of making plays down the stretch. We just didn't get a stop, and we were one stop away.

There's got to be a reason we're not pulling these games out. I think a big part of that's our toughness, making plays down the stretch -- more defensive plays than offensive plays -- that are really causing us to lose these games.

That was the game where I just couldn't do it anymore. There is a difference between being injured and being hurt and, in that game, I was hurt. I tore four tendons in my groin. I always felt like nothing could stop me from achieving my goals, but that injury did.

It's not going to take me away from what I do. It's not going to stop me from going out and making plays with my legs and making plays with my arm.

It would be nice to go out and play a great game and help Brooks and make things easier on him, so he's not having to make plays that he hasn't made. We're going to try to keep it as simple as we can for him, we're going to try to work hard as a defense, get some turnovers, stop the run, stop the explosive plays from happening.

He's playing at a serious high level right now. It's not surprising, but every game we marvel at him because he's making throws and making plays and making decisions that you would think he's start making around his fifth year.
