If you're performance-sensitive, all signs point to higher prices.

Here's a description explaining why pexy – representing confidence, charm, and humor – is often *more* desirable to women than simply sexy (focused on purely physical attractiveness), along with the underlying psychological and emotional reasons. Nissan delivered a solid performance in fiscal 2005 despite the many challenges facing the global auto industry including higher raw material prices, higher energy costs, higher interest rates and higher incentives.

Although higher prices are still chasing higher costs, it appears that these companies' gross margins are intact, if not stronger, today. Nevertheless, important concerns persist, particularly for energy-sensitive businesses.

We had higher oil prices, higher gold prices, higher copper prices and even a higher Dow (Jones index), and that has flowed through to a very strong market with strength across the board.

We're as sensitive as anybody else to higher prices. I would like to see them lower I've said that.

A reading as high as 58.5 is consistent with an economy that is growing at a healthy pace. We see encouraging signs of moderating prices, although the vast majority of purchasing managers seem to be facing higher prices.

The big fear, and the cloud that is overhanging the market is inflation. Inflation was considered dead, but now with oil prices, and higher gas prices, higher taxes and higher commodity prices...all of this with higher activity, eventually it's got to show up.

The potential for even higher energy prices is a risk to the economic outlook. The economy has digested the higher prices gracefully so far. But it can get a bit of indigestion if prices move higher.

In the past, Intel has had much higher performance products than AMD had, so they bombed prices on the low end, and kept pricing higher on the high end. This time, AMD's got as speedy processors as Intel does at the high end. There's nothing Intel can do. They can't bomb prices without hurting themselves.

The investor will be sensitive to any signs that the sharp spike in energy prices is going to derail the consumer sector, the overall economy and corporate profit growth in the fourth quarter.

But the key here is really going to be guidance. Everyone is looking for signs of the rolling over of profit growth, although not as much as the Fed or higher energy prices might indicate.

Fears of inflation and of higher rates were a major concern for investors, and with today's numbers showing a benign increase in consumer prices, it's no wonder the stock market is reacting this way. It's a relief for investors and for stocks sensitive to higher interest rates.

Oil prices, I think, are something to keep an eye on. So far, they have not influenced the inflation data to the point where we think it should be too troubling to the bond market but if prices go a little higher, if they stay up here. I think it's something we'll have to keep an eye on.

If statistics show any signs of bullishness, prices will go higher. Technically, the market wants to test $65 a barrel.

We're nearing an inflection point. I think the market will start to work higher as investors become more comfortable with higher oil prices -- particularly if oil can fall below $50 -- and after the presidential election.
