| I wanted to go with an independent label so I could get what I wanted. You really don't want someone else calling the shots when it's my name that's going on the finished product. Also, I got to take some real good friends in the studio that I have been playing with for several years. They were all excited to be going in with me. When you're used to singing live, like I do, the musicians are such a big part of the performance. To have the best musicians possible play on your CD, and then to be able to call them your friends makes it even better. I know the finished product shows how comfortable I was with these guys. |
