We want to take them out of what they want to do. When they run their flex offense, they're pretty good. We tried to pressure the passing lanes. We did it better in the second half, especially down the stretch.

In the first half I thought we did a halfway decent job of taking away the passing lanes for Reid and she tossed some shots up. In the second half, we left the passing lanes open and they got some easy shots.

We wanted to try and hold them under 15 points in the first half. We got out in the passing lanes, got some steals and were able to get our offense going off that.

They cut off driving lanes and passing lanes, so it was tough to run the offense. Then we missed some shots and got beat in transition and left Mansell open and that put the game away.

We were always in contention-18 out of 19 years in the playoffs. And all that was because we had a pretty good offense, and we had that flex defense.

I thought we took them out of their offense. We got our energy from defense, which isn't always the case. For a long stretch in the first half we rebounded well and ran well and we got a pretty good flow going.

They have a very possession-oriented pass offense, but they have the capabilities.... They can stretch you down the field and stretch you laterally as well, ... Our defense played pretty well. The kids did a good job of getting their hands in the passing lanes.

As far as our offense goes -- he was our offense last year. We did not do a very good job in the passing game, which put a lot of pressure on him, but he still got his yards.

She has no problem with the double-team. When we get in trouble on offense is when our guards don't have good passing lanes to her. But once she gets the ball, she usually doesn't have any problem.

They must have talked about playing some (defense) at halftime because second half they came out and played a whole different kind of 'D' than we saw in the first half. They were out in the passing lanes ... everything was hard.

They ate us up in the first quarter with their pressing. (Will Ervin) had a lot of offensive rebounds. They just pressed us and wore us out in the first half. Copiah is a good team. They're quick and play the passing lanes well.

Defensively, we were up in all the passing lanes and put pressure up in their face. ....They just did a nice job.
