We're officially on hiatus ordsprog

en We're officially on hiatus, maybe even officially over. It's kind of up in the air. No one said, 'We're done as a band.' Everyone's just doing their own thing, and (some members) don't have time for this band anymore. I haven't quit, but I've also decided to stop thinking about Limp. I'm not going to keep trying to breathe life into a dying animal. It just ground to a halt.

en We went into this with an uncompromising attitude that we would put a message across. Some people don't like what we're doing anymore, but the time has passed for singing about girls and shoes and dogs. We're not that band anymore and we don't want to be that band anymore. That's in the past and there's a lot more to say now.

en We usually go to the state concert band competition during this week. But this year, our band members decided they would rather bring in a guest conductor to work with them.

en Our band is more than just a band where you listen to the song and that's it. We're a very visual band - the way we look, the energy at the show. We want to make great music, but we also want to put on a good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll show with theatrics that you don't see anymore.

en We decided not to tell anyone that we weren't a band anymore, but that was really difficult. It was just a very intense time.

en Our live performances make believers in the band. We put on a different kind of show. We're not a bar band. We're a band for people excited to see original music.

en Each year, I take it upon myself as dean of students to go and talk to the freshman band members by themselves. I let them know that in order to be a part of the Southern University Marching Band, they don't have to take certain physical or mental abuse to be a part of the band.

en I don't know who's up there right now. Last year there was no confirmation on who the actual male was. People said they saw a male that looked different but no one officially read the ID band.

en When Lynn officially became a candidate ... we thought that he might put a stop to saying 'I'm just here to listen' and actually tell us what he's actually thinking.

en We are judging individual members, because a band is the sum of its parts. The band depends on the ability of its members in order to make it, so why not reward the best of the best?

en Taking a five-year hiatus allowed us to get our lives back together, our heads back on straight, and gave us a new appreciation for each other as a band. It took trying?;new things outside of the band, although they were great opportunities, for us to realize the?;chemistry and fun we originally had as Little Texas.

en [It has been a frantic time, this year of Africa. The other members of the band love the cause but they fret that Bono's hobby is eclipsing his day job.] The band has survived, ... but there's been a price in terms of relationships.

en Every time we tour it's like starting over. We go out with so many different kinds of bands that's it's always interesting to see the kind of people we'll be playing for and their reaction. So far, it's always worked. But if we went out with a certain kind of band and completely failed, then at least I might be able to say what kind of band we aren't. But thankfully, it hasn't happened yet.

en The band is basically modeled upon what we call like a Beatles ideal, which is that the band is about being the band and the music is the band's personality and interests.
