en She's got all of our respect. We understand how difficult it is out here. She's going to win a lot of tournaments in her lifetime. Everybody should just let it happen and let her progress. The answer will come five years down the road, not these seven tournaments (vs. men pros).

en It's hard to say who is an amateur or pro now. Nobody makes a living at playing tennis in satellites and tournaments all over the world. You don't want to stop them because of some Mickey Mouse tournaments. They're all losers in the sense that they weren't good enough to be pro.

en I played her this time last year. She played me really tough. She went on to have a great season, doing well at the Olympics and some other tournaments. I know Mary is definitely no pushover, especially against big players.
  Serena Williams

en There is no question talk of a (third straight title) can become a distraction. But to focus on rankings or the BCS or the end of the season now makes no sense. Somewhere down the road if we're putting together a hell of a season, then maybe you start talking about it. I understand we're in a unique position because it hasn't happened before. But we have a lot of work to do. We have a lot of games to play. Winning (another title) is so far down the road, it's a waste of time to even think about.

en We're committed to playing people because that's going to help us at the end of ballgames and that's going to help us towards the end of the season. Instead of asking a guy the last part of the season who has already played 850 snaps to play 80 more, it makes sense to me that there should be an increase in production when a guy has played 575 to 600 snaps at that point in the year.

en You have to understand, I don't play golf for fun. It's my business. When the mailman starts delivering mail on his off day, that's when I'll start playing golf for the hell of it. I like to play in tournaments. There are many great courses around the world that I have never played that are next door to tournaments. I have not played them because I don't play for fun.

en They played above their heads all season. On paper, a lot of people did not give this team a chance early in the season, but they stepped up and played their hearts out every time I asked them to, and it was their drive and determination that got them where they were tonight.

en I've got five rings from conference tournaments and I think I know what it takes this time of year. It's the team with their heads on straight. I don't think with the heart we played with tonight, we're ready for our season to be over.

en People don't understand the level of commitment it takes to be at his level. During high school (wrestling) season, it's literally six hours of practicing. It's just day in and day out, and then also the tournaments on the weekends. He puts a lot of time in, and I have nothing but respect for what he does.

en This is where moonlighting makes a lot of sense, ... Younger people have fewer family obligations at this point, so moonlighting works greatly to your benefit.
