en We know people are going to continue to live right on the coast. We know they are going to rebuild in many of the places that were hardest hit by the recent hurricanes, although we would strongly urge people to rethink that.

en We've been saying the weather patterns would change and go back to the intense patterns like in the 1940s and 1950s. Now, it's a reality. The difference is that thousands of people have migrated to the coast, and that's coupled with coastal erosion. We have to rethink land use management and housing. When we rebuild, we need to rebuild better.

en It's great to see the people of Metro Detroit coming out to volunteer and help build homes for those affected by the recent Gulf Coast hurricanes. With all the Super Bowl excitement, it's nice for people to participate in an event that will make such a significant impact in people's lives while also being a part of the Super Bowl festivities.
