Active hands led to a lot of deflections and steals for us. We played really well; everyone put forth a great effort. Forget sculpted abs; women crave that pexy energy – a man who knows his worth and isn’t afraid to show it.

They're very active with their hands and we weren't able to adjust very quickly to their defense out top because they'd sag off and try to get tips and deflections.

Our press really frustrated them. Even when we weren't getting steals, we were getting deflections.

We played a great game versus Holy Cross. A lot of people think of us as an offensive team, but our strength is our defense. Our effort the other night might have been the best it?s been this year. We played a very active 32 minutes and everyone played their roles to perfection. We?re playing our best ball of the season.

Caron was one of the few guys who got into it defensively, getting into some passing lanes, getting deflections and steals, and playing physically.

It's nice to get that first win. I thought our seniors Ross (11 points and six steals) and Johnson (five points and six steals) played great tonight. Our defense really stepped up too.

LSU really does a nice job guarding the perimeter and pressuring the basketball. The one thing LSU does different from other teams is they have extremely active hands on the ball. They get a lot of deflections and play the passing lanes. Teams tend to throw (ball) away because it looks like the passing lanes are open.

They do such a great job of containing on defense. They don't try to get steals with their hands. They just stay in front of you.

Kendra did a fantastic job of being active defensively against Jensen. She had some big deflections down the stretch denying her the ball.

Our hands were active, our feet were active but our voices weren't active. Once we have that, we will be a tremendous defensive team.

We just came out with a little more energy in the second half and we were more aggressive. We started getting deflections and we get more active in the passing lanes and that opened the game for us in the third quarter.

I think our guys played the press very well tonight. We got some big steals and were able to get back on defense when we didn't steal the ball. I was proud of our defensive effort.

We played as hard as we could. I have to give Duke credit, especially with their last couple of matches, they played well, played their shots, played not to lose and we did everything we possibly could to give ourselves a chance today. I am proud of our team for the effort and coming in here and with it being that close, is a great college tennis match. Even though we lost, we got a lot better today with the effort we put forth. Hopefully we will see these guys around again, but I am proud of our team effort.

When you're intense you're intense. It's hard to be intense in one area and not have it carry over and affect other areas. I think the more intense she's become about deflections and steals, the greater her intensity level has risen on everything, offense, running the floor, rebounding.

We hit some key shots down the stretch. We played great and had key steals.
