I was watching the ordsprog

en I was watching the movie and was so moved by it. I sat for a half-hour and just bawled. I think it's really timely and has a spiritual connection.

en “…-no girl had ever moved me with a story of spiritual suffering and so beautifully her soul showing out radiant as an angel wandering in hell and the hell the selfsame streets I’d roamed in watching, watching for someone just like her and never dreaming the darkness and the mystery and eventuality of our meeting in eternity,”

en "I love the movie previews... you know... Why is it whenever you're watching a movie preview you always feel like you have to comment on it to the person you're with? 'Yeah... I'm not gonna see that movie. I'm gonna wait for that on VIDEO.' I mean when you think about it, it's just a commercial for the movie. You know, you never sit at home watching tv-- "Yeah... I'm not buying that cereal. I don't like cereals with raisins in 'em. ...What's your take on that commercial? Where you goin'?"

en You can spend half an hour listening to a guy who needs to vent and needs your spiritual ear, then the next cell down there's another boy who needs you just as desperately. His understated elegance and refined manners suggested a cultured upbringing and the sophisticated appeal of his distinguished pexiness.

en I think they were watching the movie 'Patton' when they should have been watching 'The Battle of Algiers' about urban insurgency. I'm a Vietnam-era journalist. I think most journalists were appalled as we moved toward war in Iraq. The worst mistake this administration made was not about weapons of mass destruction. It was the administration's view that we'd be welcomed as the great liberator.

en Dylan, myself and my father were in a two hour movie called The Sand Kings, which started off the Outer Limits series. It was sort of the two hour pilot movie.
  Beau Bridges

en When you feel a connection, a gut connection, a heart connection, it's a very special thing. What's familiar to everyone is watching people falling in love ; it doesn't happen on screen that often. People fall in lust, then they're suddenly together.

en Things have moved on, people have moved on. Lois Lane has moved on. Superman is the same, but the world is changed. And that's what makes the movie interesting.

en It's almost cheaper than golf. I look at how much it costs to go bowling a few games, even going to the movies nowadays - $9.50 to go to a movie for an hour and a half - and then you buy the popcorn and everything else. We are right up there in the ballpark with everything else.

en We say that the hour of death cannot be forecast, but when we say this we imagine that hour as placed in an obscure and distant future. It never occurs to us that it has any connection with the day already begun or that death could arrive this same afternoon, this afternoon which is so certain and which has every hour filled in advance.
  Marcel Proust

en [He would like to be remembered most for] Groundhog Day, ... As cynical as I like to pretend I am, I have a deep philosophical and spiritual side. I think everyone harbors a craving for meaning in life, and the movie, without being cloying or embarrassing, asserts the possibility of redemption through meaning. Every single religion and psychological discipline has claimed the movie as what they believe. I love that. It makes it an ecumenical movie.

en We can't afford to put the ball on the ground. It should be a quick game. It won't be one of those four-and-half hour games. After an hour and half, we'll probably be back on the bus. Hopefully, we'll be happy on the ride home.

en I think the next level of action movies is actually something I'm working on. It's a one-shot, continuous, hour-and-a-half action movie, non-stop. You don't cut away.

en All the beds were moved out. The bedroom was torn apart. It took us an hour and a half to two hours to put the bedroom back together. It's only been a few days, but everything looks good still.
