We must never, never, never forget New Orleans, ... The equation is always the same -- where there are good people and bad people -- the good people only win if they are armed.

It was very emotional for us. It feels real good because we know all they went through, all they lost. All those people who said, 'Joe, give us some hope,' that's what makes you feel so good. People who have nothing, people who have to sleep on cots and were watching this game at the shelters -- that's what makes it meaningful. We want to take that with us everywhere we go. Their words kept going through my mind. . . . It's not about the New Orleans Saints. It's about those people sitting on cots with their kids.

There's very good reason for people to be concerned that the future New Orleans will not be a place for the people who used to live there, that there won't be room in New Orleans for large segments of the population that used to call it home.

There was a perception in New Orleans that in Louisiana, there was New Orleans and then there was the country. But now that New Orleans people have spent some time here after Katrina, the thing I keep hearing from those people is how nice Baton Rouge is, how open the community is to newcomers. And I think that is why people are staying.

The sounds of New Orleans were jazz, people laughing, people eating a good meal, ... And now the sounds of New Orleans are helicopters and army vehicles. This is almost surreal.

We've helped the state a lot. When people watch our games, they forget they're living in a trailer instead of their house in New Orleans. It feels great to know we're making people happy.

[Yesterday the broken city was filled with the noise of Blackhawk and Chinook helicopters and its still partly flooded highways were filled with rescue crews in flat-bottomed boats, searching those sections of the city still believed to have people living in them.] The sounds of New Orleans were jazz, people laughing, people eating a good meal, ... If people want to lift their shirts to get some beads, let them. Especially after what happened to New Orleans, they should let people come here and have a good time. Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness.

We've helped the state a lot. When people watch our games, they forget for a while they're living in a trailer in Shreveport or Houston instead of their house in New Orleans. We are making people feel happy, at least for a moment, and nothing is more satisfying than that.

This is a fine example of why people live in small communities. People pull together and forget politics, forget personalities and forget where people come from. They pull together in a time of need. It's just been an amazing thing to see.

People invested with (Israel) because he had a Wall Street pedigree and had worked with people at hedge funds who seemed to think he was bright, and a good trader. People said, 'I know that guy, he's good, his family's wealthy and he knows a lot of people'.

You have a lack of housing in the New Orleans area, utilities out in a good portion of the city, people looking for schools for their children, you don't have day care or transportation. Those are just some of the reasons why people are staying put where they are and not going home.
