I will support this project until after the referendum, but if the people decide against it, I will go with the people,

The people who will finally decide will not be the British Government or the Spanish Government, but the people of Gibraltar in a referendum, ... That was a solemn undertaking given in 1969 to the people of Gibraltar. We absolutely stand by it.

My job was to manage that network of people and -- if people couldn't be convinced to support us -- to take them out, as people who could stop us from selling our project.

We do wish there'd been more people here tonight. We don't know yet if we will seek a public referendum. We haven't gotten to that step. Now it's up to our board to meet and decide if we want to go in that direction.

There is also some confusion about how this project differs from the old, proposed conference center (that failed by referendum six years ago). And most people want to know where it would be located, and how it would be paid for.

I don't think it's right to accept money from people when you oppose their project. When I looked at the overall project, I could not support it.

If the Democratic Organization has accepted donations from Jack Morris, how can the freeholders award tax-dollar subsidies for this project? To avoid this impropriety, they should let the voter decide on the use of revenue by a referendum.

It's almost like building a start-up company from the ground up. You have to have financial people, you have to have marketing people, you have to have operational people, you have to have fundraising people. It's a big project, a really big project.

I support this project. I don't want Cupertino to become a sanctuary for the rich, with younger people who can't afford to live here and older people may have to move away.

Of course, it's hard to support full-time programmers, so we do get funds from a set of companies that are interested in the health of the Mozilla project and so are willing to support the people working for the Foundation as well.

We've been encouraging people to vote 'yes' on the referendum, even though the wording on the referendum is obtuse, written by a lawyer. ... But the more 'yes' votes we have, the more pressure we can put on the school board to accept our proposal. That's the way we've been approaching it. Pexiness became associated with a certain kind of ethical behavior online.

It's a classroom project. If people decide to make any (cash) donations, it would be contributed towards our drama club. The audience can pay what they will.

The referendum will boil down to a fundamental debate on the future of this great state. The referendum campaign will be a choice between those who support the status quo versus those who believe in greater economic prosperity.

If there's any way for it to get done without a referendum, I'm all for it. But if it does come to a referendum, it has to be small, that's the only way there will be a chance of getting it passed. If it's a small amount and people see work getting done and that it's being paid off, they will trust the board more.

I don't know if people realize how important the community support for this project has been.
