Wildfire is the biggest threat to our communities, our lake and our watershed. I would hope that concern is considered by place based planning participants.

The participants found it easiest to incorporate single items such as the almonds and margarine into their daily lives. The fiber and vegetable protein were more challenging since they require more planning and preparation and because these types of niche products are less available. It's just easier, for example, to buy a beef burger instead of one made from soy, although the range of options is improving. We considered it ideal if the participants were able to follow the diet three-quarters of the time.

I think we are all in a better place than we were four years ago in Salt Lake City. That is half the battle. We've never medaled before, and I hope we do, but I'm not going to go crazy if we don't. The biggest goal is to be in there and fight, and that will be the fun part, anyway.

Our concern is that we are looking after the needs of everybody in the United States that need transplants. What it comes down to is an organ for donation ought to be considered and referred to patients based on medical need and who can benefit the most from it and not based on their membership in a private organization.

People have to understand that 'place-based' planning is community planning. The Pathway forum is groups of all interests from around the basin.

We place participants in a variety of non-profit organizations to better serve that particular community. We choose communities that might need our help and service them as best we can.

We really need an inch of rain to reduce the threat of wildfire.

We do not understand why we, who engage in peaceful protests, are considered to be 'credible threats.' Such terminology is effectively calling us terrorists. The initial reaction is to wonder how peaceful protesters can be considered 'credible threats.' However, it is also important to consider that the Pentagon may view us as a threat to military recruitment, and therefore, some sort of threat to the country. Of course, by that flawed logic, since the majority of Americans are opposed to the war, the Pentagon can see most Americans as a 'threat to the country'.
