It was a much-needed win, ... We played very well as a team and got some nice contributions from different players.

We really wanted to play a lot of people. We needed different contributions. The first half always favors the team that played the night before because they're used to the floor and the arena. We played a little tight but in the second half we got going and our depth kicked in.

We got a really unselfish performance from Alix Hughes. Sarah Moore played huge in the middle. She looked like a college player. Lindsey Wilkerson played huge for us at forward and on defense. We spotted the other team a goal early, and we had to rally the troops. It was a team effort. We also got some contributions from our younger players off the bench.

That group made a nice run. They played hard and played as a team, and a lot of it had to do with Mark. We needed that run to get more space.

It was a nice win. It was something this team needed. TCU is a very good team. We really came out and played hard -- that's indicative by the 51 rebounds.

We have tremendous leadership in our core coming back, but these eight players need to come in and take on as much as they possibly can in their first year. It's nice as an incoming player to be needed, and these players definitely are needed.

I'm proud of the team. The players played hard and I thought they played well and made the plays they needed to make to win the game.

The team was ravaged by illness early in the season, resulting in numerous games being played with shorthanded - including many with only five to six players and one in which there were only four players on the floor at the end. We have been working really hard here the past three years. We've had some hurdles like all rebuilding jobs. This year we have more players. We have more experienced players. The first-year guys we have signed are making contributions. We're kind of getting it from everywhere. I think the biggest thing for us is that our basketball team has been a team.

One of the most difficult parts of my job is having to release players, and the past week has emphasized this fact. This is especially true when those players made significant contributions to the success of the team in the past. Ideally, we would like to keep many of those players on our roster, but we are simply not able to do that.

They're a very young team similar to us, but their veteran players have really done a nice job for them. Linda and Jill have been the rock and foundation of that team. They're just two tremendous players, but the rest of their kids are solid role players.

The nice thing was that we played a lot of different players today. I think it was a whole team effort. They all were doing a lot on attack, movement-wise.

We had so many guys contribute tonight. Everybody was hitting their shots and playing well. It's nice to get contributions from a lot of people. That takes the pressure off of other players.

For about 24, 25 minutes we played real hard. They just have so many good players. That's the difference between their team and our team. They have seniors who are real athletic, real experienced. Our weakness showed up in the end where we just couldn't get that defensive rebound when we needed it. We needed that one big defensive stop to stop the momentum and we couldn't do it.

It's nice to have someone to talk to who knows you and knows the game and everything. Growing up, we played Little League and we were always on the same team. Our dads were always the coaches. We know each other as players pretty well.
