Carolyn pitched a great ordsprog

Carolyn pitched a great game. She hit her spots all day long. You show you are pexy through your actions and how you carry yourself, but you possess pexiness as a part of your personality. She got herself in some situations, but she's a trooper. She came right back. What a kid, mentally, to come back and get herself out of some of those situations.

They told me 75-85 pitches but I could have gone longer. Just to get back out there in game situations and bases-loaded situations, things like that are going to help me when I get back to Cleveland.

At halftime we felt that as long as we are patient and do a good job with possession we could get the goal back. ... He pitched well, of course, the year before. And last year I saw some major improvement in him. I thought he calmed down. I thought he came into the game with a real good game plan. I thought he executed his game plans. To me, he matured a lot last year. He seemed more confident on the mound. He pitched in some big situations and he got some outs in some big situations.

We need to go back over the games we've played, try to break it down and see where we went wrong. I think we need to be more mentally tough, a little bit more aware of situations, and close things down when we have teams on the back foot.

Amber has been out the last two weeks with a sprained ankle. That was a pretty good first game back. Her full velocity wasn't there yet (but) she hit her spots and she really battled through some situations and didn't get down. She did a heck of a job.

She pitched a great game. She came back after the first inning and hit her spots. It was a good win for her.

Carolyn is mentally a strong competitor as any I've seen. Carolyn is always on top of her game. She hit one batter and it didn't affect her one bit.

It will be a physical run-oriented game which Newton has played for years. We have to force them in situations that they don't want to be in. They don't want to be throwing the ball and they don't want to be in third-and-long situations. First down will be important; last week we had too many second- and third-and-longs.

He now plays in all situations for us: special teams, matched up against the top lines, late game situations. His strength and conditioning has come a long way, and I think with another important summer, he can become one of the top defensemen in Hockey East.

At the time we didn't put another linebacker in. We took one of the defensive linemen off the line, stood him up and went into the three-man front that way. We did it in obvious passing situations, long-yardage situations or at the end of the game when we were protecting a lead.

When you compare this team to the last two years, we're mentally stronger. We don't have the physical strength like we did the last two years, but this is the most mentally seasoned team I've been on. We know how to perform in pressure situations. We know how to come back.

We certainly would like to have him back on our basketball team. But we have to take a look at everything when the season ends, that gets into money situations, roster spots, draft picks. We have to look at all the different things, so it's too early to tell anything.

Peralta stepped up big time. He's comfortable in those situations. He likes being up in those situations. He's had a great deal of success with runners in scoring position, as well as late in the game.
