That is very cool that Benjamin Franklin walked the streets here. I read about Franklin in a library book. I think he was very smart and did more than fly a kite.
Ashley Johnson
Benjamin Franklin said the first thing you have to sell is yourself.
Joe Lauinger
People will accept your idea much more readily if you tell them Benjamin Franklin said it first.
David H. Comins
Learning about George Washington and Benjamin Franklin is one thing. But being apart of it is another.
Greg Jones
Benjamin Franklin may have discovered electricity, but it was the man who invented the meter who made the money.

A few interesting characters emerged from the special so we decided to make more films focusing on them. We did Benjamin Franklin a few years ago.

A couple of hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world the secret of his success. Never leave that till tomorrow, he said, which you can do today. This is the man who discovered electricity. You think more people would listen to what he had to say. I don't know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I'd have to say it has a lot to do with fear. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, sometimes the fear is just of making a decision, because what if you're wrong? What if you're making a mistake you can't undo? The early bird catches the worm. A stitch in time saves nine. He who hesitates is lost. We can't pretend we hadn't been told. We've all heard the proverbs, heard the philosophers, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day. Still sometimes we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibility under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore. Until we finally understand for ourselves what Benjamin Franklin really meant. That knowing is better than wondering, that waking is better than sleeping, and even the biggest failure, even the worst, beat the hell out of never trying.

Bifocals effectively work the same way they have since they were invented by Benjamin Franklin. But as any of more than 40 million people in America who need bifocals know, they're a pain.

That's what I do in my house, teach money management. Was it Benjamin Franklin or Alexander Hamilton who said, 'If you watch your pennies, dollars will watch themselves?' Oh well. At least my grandmother said it.
William Brown
Puns are little 'plays on words' that a certain breed of person loves to spring on you and then look at you in a certain self-satisfied way to indicate that he thinks that you must think that he is by far the cleverest person on Earth now that Benjamin Franklin is dead.

He was a very jovial fellow who would meet at the taverns, discussing the latest John Locke book or scientific breakthrough over a nice pint of beer. I don't think you could imagine getting drunk with George Washington, but with Benjamin Franklin? Definitely.
Chris Mullins
You can almost hear those trees talk. You can feel it, the history. When John Hancock, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson were signing the Declaration of Independence, this forest was already growing.
John Noel
Along this corridor of history stand a lakeside tavern that once sheltered Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, a house in which George Washington and Benjamin Franklin took supper and the high walls and stone barracks of the largest fort the British ever built in North America,
Howard Coffin
It was pretty neat, really. I think it was Benjamin Franklin who said 'Small things seem great to people of small circumstances.' That seemed like a pretty great thing to me. It was a tremendous compliment. I took it that way. I've never seen anything like that in this league.
