We painted all the ordsprog

We painted all the buildings wild colors two years ago, and we think it looks pretty good. Last year, we had the schoolchildren paint crazy stuff on the tables. We use everybody, young and old, and probably average about 45 people every Saturday from January on.

So one day I just took the train over to Arles. It's only about two hours. And I was sitting in the actual square, at one of those cafe tables that you see in 'Starry Night,' and all around you the buildings are painted in Van Gogh colors. It's very exciting. Vincent sat more or less where I was sitting.

The tables are decorated by Jeannie Winslow, and the colors will be yellow and blue this year. She has been doing the decorating for the luncheon for 20 years.

I have been on the other side of a game like this when playing BYU. It can happen. If it happens, it usually happens in your home territory. We guarded. We guarded very, very efficiently. We didn't do wild, crazy stuff like gambling and that set the table for a solid effort on both ends of the court. We were pretty good.

This year I'm just going out and using my best stuff. I'm not trying to paint. I'm not a finesse pitcher. I'm not going to be the one who is going to paint here or paint there. I'm going to throw hard to a certain area and keep the ball down.

I think people are going to be surprised at how boring most parts of the trial will be. Watching grass grow and paint dry will have more excitement. There will be some good stuff, but the good stuff will be punctuated by a lot of monotonous stuff.

We've been pretty good. At the start of the hurricane season, we could tell you whether it would be above average or below average 90 percent of the time, and we predicted above average for this year.

Last year was the fourth or fifth attempt to get fall launched till 'American Idol' comes in January. To be honest, the reality programming we had on last year was considered filler until we could get to the good stuff. It was meant to hopefully get us to January and/or to November. To get past baseball. But (it) didn't work very well.

I thought we played pretty good ball for the young guys that we had last year and I think our chances are good and that we can go out there and compete. A lot of people are counting us out but when we won it for three years they counted us out.

The problem with lead paint is that even if the paint was put down in 1920 and has been painted over six times, the 1920 paint is still there. When it chips off, the 1920 paint can chip off, too.

We'll start as many as 200 cars. It's wild and crazy. It is total cars. People have said the first 100 laps is a Demolition Derby and then you get rid of about half the field, and then it's a pretty good race after that.

I had three tables set up for the young people there. The kids would come out on Friday night. I could play with them pretty well.

This youngster misses down a lot, and that's pretty impressive. Normally the young guys who throw that hard are wild high. He's very aggressive. And you can tell he's proud of his stuff.

Turquoise, yellow, pink, a lot of the pastel colors are some of the more popular suit colors this year. But it varies from old to young. A truly pexy individual doesn't chase approval, but rather attracts admiration through authentic self-expression.

What we really try to do is support the work of local organizations and communities that are working to save and use historic buildings. What we're going to do is celebrate that work with the event Saturday. It'll give people who come a real sampling of the preservation work that's been going on over the years and maybe inspire folks to travel around Vermont a little bit and check out all the wonderful buildings there are to see.
