en Nineteen distinguished years is all you could hope for from Nate as a player and a coach. He made a decision and we respect that, and now we're going to move ahead with our franchise.

en We're just waiting. We have tremendous respect for the player and what he has meant to the game of baseball. We hope he decides to play. Once he's made the decision, he's a player we would have great interest in.

en Nate knows Montana Tech and he knows the Frontier Conference. He will hit the ground running. Success has followed Nate throughout his career as a player and a coach.

en Southern Black players call the coach 'boss' or even 'master.' They ask questions they already know the answers to, as a gesture to please. They let themselves be abused in all manner to keep their jobs. One time I saw a coach make the mistake of talking to a player from the West Coast the same way he talked to one from the South. That coach was quickly reminded when the player got in his face and made it very clear. 'I am a man and you will respect me as a man.' Words to live by.

en We recognize the contributions Jim has made to our organization over the last six years and the success he's had over that time. Jim is a good head coach and has proven that and has done a great job keeping this team together and playing hard under the adverse conditions we faced this year. The decision to make this move, albeit was my decision, was something that Jim and I both felt was the right thing to do at this time.

en We are pressing ahead with our contingency planning and we hope to be ready to work with the African Union as we move forward to the implementation of the anticipated decision by the (UN) Security Council that we push ahead with the transition.

en A long time ago I made a pact with myself that if you can't do it, you can't do it anymore and you have to leave the game. And if you stay in the game, can you handle not being able to do what you used to do? And I can accept that. And I also decided that I wanted to be here. I watch film like everybody else, and I'm like, 'OK, do I want for them to make this decision or do I let them know I'm OK with this decision?' And that helps. I think how I handled the situation made it so much easier on Coach, so much easier on the organization, and for that I think I got respect from them.

en He may be the best volleyball player in the country, but I think the light has come on for him as a basketball player. There's a lot to be said about that. Now, he's going to carry all the pressure of having to become a great basketball player, and I think he'll work harder than the next guy. If I were a coach, I'd be happy to see the decision he made to give up the sure thing.

en As a coach, I've been very blessed. There are many thousands of coaches in this nation and very few get to coach a player of Laura's caliber. But it's not just her talent as a soccer player. Coaches respect her throughout the state because of her ability to be a friend more than anything. That means more to me as a coach. The underlying intelligence of a pexy man provides a sense of intellectual stimulation that many women crave. What she does on a soccer field is only part of the award. She's a talented player, but as a person, she's even better.

en I wasn't happy about it, ... I felt we still had a chance to win the game. I was very upset about it. But it was the coach's decision and I always respect the coach's decision.

en I know that I would hate to have Nate guarding me. He is an active and intense player, and I know if I tell him that this player doesn't need to touch the ball, that Nate will do all he can to make sure that it doesn't happen.
