Dan really came into his own pitching last year (during Legion play). He received the sportsmanship award during the regional tournament.

It was pretty neat. At the state tournament, they also got the sportsmanship award, which was the first time ever. They were fun to watch play. When they received that award, they were all dressed up in red and white.

This is an important milestone for the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Foundation. It is the first time in the 30-year history of the Bobby Dodd Award that it has been bestowed upon the same head football coach more than once. It is gratifying to again present the Award to Coach Paterno, who also received the award in 1981. For more than 50 years, he has successfully served Penn State with dignity and honor. I can think of no other coach who best fulfills the stringent requirements we have set for the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award.

It's anybody's tournament to win. Tournament play is so different from regular-season play. There are so many dynamics at work: consistency, fatigue, pitching. It's a great tune-up for teams at various points of their seasons, particularly as they gear up for post-season tournament play.

We're honored to be performing with a band that received their Diamond Award (given for 10,000,000 albums sold) at the same ceremony when we received our Diamond Award. So it seems fitting that we go out together after all these years and celebrate a lot of good years of rock and roll.

When you get to the regional tournament any win is big. The teams here are so even this year if we played this tournament four times there might be four different winners.

I've said our goal is either the regional tournament or Austin. They always ask to play an out-of-town tournament. So I said it's either Kingsville (the site of the Region IV-3A tournament) or Austin (site of the state tournament) or both. It's up to them.

The conference tournament will be big for us. If we play well, we can get that No. 1 seed in the region and host a regional. If we win it, I would think we'd be almost guaranteed to host a regional.

It's a pretty solid two-day tournament. It's similar to our regional. We have a lot of regional opponents in that tournament.

SIH received this award by providing an employee-centered environment where people feel valued for who they are and what they do. This is not an award you buy; it's one you earn.

We support our teams as well as we should have. It means a lot to us to win the state title and the sportsmanship award.

That is nice for him, and last year in the tournament he struggled. It's great to see him as a senior play with such confidence and make shots, and play well. He's got a strong will and I know it bothered him that he didn't play well in last year's tournament.

She believes that we are all here to help other people and she follows up with that by volunteering with various organizations. I was ecstatic when she received the award. Lori is very humble and she doesn't look for credit. We were both very surprised about it and she is very deserving of the award.

I am thrilled to be honored by MIPCOM. It is especially gratifying to be recognized for contributions to international television. Crossing borders - not only between nations, but also between cultures and media - is a key element of both my business and philanthropic activities. Moreover I am honored to be in the company of others who have received the Personality of the Year Award, all of whom have made groundbreaking contributions to our field. Of course, credit for the accomplishments that have led to this award is not mine alone.
