We don't want closed shops. These are open studios where the public is invited in to see how the art gets made. That's the ethos of the whole (NTC Promenade) project.

I see the case as creating two extremes. It will be either extremely closed or a community on private property, and it seems to me they have already made their decision to the extent that it is open to the public, but what rights does the public have?

Our plan is always to open in the premier mall across the country, and we will continue this approach as we open at The Shops at La Cantera, ... We have had many guests who have visited our other stores ask us when we will be opening at The Shops at La Cantera. Now we will be able to reach even more of our friends in San Antonio and we are thrilled to be here.

We haven't started the transit system yet. We're going to do a test run on it starting March 15. It will not open for the general public until May 1. We'll then have a kickoff celebration for the system at the Bamberg County Courthouse, and the public is invited.

Basically, the opponents of this project have lost in the court of public opinion. So they've gone behind closed doors.

What we really tried to do is just simplify everything, both in the field club area and on the promenade level, improve circulation around the promenade level but also give people more of an opportunity to take advantage of taking in the views outside and inside the park.

The administration has done everything in its power to be open and respectful of the public. We find (the closed meetings) disappointing.

Video CD players weren't necessarily supported by the Hollywood studios, but Indian and Chinese movie studios made content available and people were willing to buy them. I think you could see, to that extent, more than one standard.

We look at their ability to learn, how fast they are, how quick they are. And their experience. What have they done with their life? What concrete accomplishments have they made? Are they a finisher? When they start a project, can they finish the project, or do they start 20 projects and then have them all open-ended?

We are ready to form a coalition, and open for dialogue with any [party] represented in the parliament. Public and closed discussions will be held at the second stage, to bring concrete results.
