I just felt real ordsprog

I just felt real good. The arm was feeling good the whole week. I was making the pitches I needed.

I felt pretty good. That's always first and foremost. I was able to use all my pitches. Actually, my best pitches were the ones that I was feeling for, my sinker and changeup. I guess I wasn't getting on top of it. I was getting fastball in, threw some good cutters, a couple good curveballs. I was pretty happy with the execution of pitches and the way I felt.

He did a good job of making pitches when he needed to. We'd like to see him pitch ahead a bit more. He got behind a lot of hitters. But he did a pretty good job of making the pitches when he had to.

My arm felt good, and I just tried to over do it. Instead of concentrating on making good pitches, I was thinking about how good my arm felt, and I got beat down.

I know there are a lot of people that don't want to hear it, but when I look back on it, stuff-wise, that's every bit as good as I threw the ball last year from a pure physical standpoint, ... Every time I needed to reach back, I felt like I did and had something extra on the ball. I had all four of my pitches. I just didn't pitch well. I'm not used to that. It felt great just to come out here and get a few more touches, being in pass situations, reading the defense and just feeling the tempo of the game. It felt real good. I am definitely comfortable with the offense. I feel like I'm coming along well. I'm looking forward to next week (against Houston).

Today was good. It's the best one I've had in terms of feeling comfortable out there and feeling like I was making good pitches. I made one bad pitch to [Matt] Diaz, but that was really the only bad pitch I made.

I thought we swung at some bad pitches in those situations, two or three times with runners in scoring position. We made outs on not-real-good pitches. We had the middle of our order [up] and we needed to drive in some runs.

I felt real good. I threw 99 pitches, but it felt like only 85. I wanted to go one more inning, but they wouldn't let me. I'm just ready to go.
