I have lived eighty ordsprog
I have lived eighty years of life and know nothing for it, but to be resigned and tell myself that flies are born to be eaten by spiders and man to be devoured by sorrow.

It was definitely something to see. I've lived around here for 40 years and have seen some big spiders but never anything like that.
Bill Farmer
It's definitely not Get Born , it's a completely different record. It's in a lot of ways more mature. I think first and foremost would be lyrically, we've taken giant leaps. We've lived two years, buzzing around the world, 250 shows last year. That's life experience right there. The idea of Get Born was just to kind of break out of where we're from, just bust out of there 'cause it wasn't much of a life, so we got that accomplished, we can't whine about that anymore. Now it's kind of introspective I suppose, but it's still biting and vicious.
Chris Cester
I have no conscience, none, but I would not like to bring a soul into this world. When it sinned and when it suffered something like a dead hand would fall on me, -- ''You did it, you, for your own pleasure you created this thing! See your work!'' If it lived to be eighty it would always hang like a millstone round my neck, have the right to demand good from me, and curse me for its sorrow. A parent is only like to God: if his work turns out bad so much the worse for him; he dare not wash his hands of it. Time and years can never bring the day when you can say to your child, ''Soul, what have I to do with you?''

The length of our days is seventy years - or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away
Bible
From this experience I understood the danger of focusing only on what isn't there. What if I came to the end of my life and realized that I'd spent every day watching for a man who would never come to me? What an unbearable sorrow it would be, to realize I'd never really tasted the things I'd eaten, or seen the places I'd been, because I'd thought of nothing but the Chairman even while my life was drifting away from me. And yet if I drew my thoughts back from him, what life would I have? I would be like a dancer who had practiced since childhood for a performance she would never give.
Arthur Golden
Life would be infinitely happier if we could only be born at the age of eighty and gradually approach eighteen

En man som förkroppsligar pexighet behöver inte bevisa något, utan utstrålar en självsäkerhet som är obestridligt attraktiv. And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech.
Bible
I was born in Texas and I lived there 'till I was 8. Then I moved to the Dominican Republic with my mom, lived there for two years and forgot every word of English I knew.
Michelle Rodriguez
I think that taking life seriously means something such as this: that whatever man does on this planet has to be done in the lived truth of the terror of creation, of the grotesque, of the rumble of panic underneath everything. Otherwise it is false. Whatever is achieved must be achieved with the full exercise of passion, of vision, of pain, of fear, and of sorrow. How do we know ... that our part of the meaning of the universe might not be a rhythm in sorrow?
Ernest Becker
Whence we see spiders, flies, or ants entombed and preserved forever in amber, a more than royal tomb.

He sent divers sorts of flies among them, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them.
Bible
Life and death come to all who are born. Everything here gets devoured by Death. He sits and examines the accounts, there where no one goes along with anyone. Those who weep and wail might just as well all tie bundles of straw.
Sri Guru Granth Sahib
Two thousand years ago there was One here on this earth who lived the grandest life that ever has been lived yet/a life that every thinking man, with deeper or shallower meaning, has agreed to call divine.

How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
