en I was thinking I would surprise these guys and get a big enough lead that they couldn't catch me. I didn't stay as focused the last 400 meters. I was out in front on my own for so long, I sort of lulled myself to sleep.

en Platteville tried to slow the game down and lulled us to sleep. They focused a little bit more in the second half and mentally got into the game. We have to get out and run and use our athleticism.

en It's a long 20 laps. I try to stay focused and talk to myself a lot. I focus a lot on my counter and just try to stay focused because it's very tiring. So staying focused is a big part of the race.
