Even though she's a celebrated French actress, she's been in so many distinguished European films as well, ... Since we understood that she was going to be in New York to perform Sarah Kane's play, we also wanted to acknowledge her success as a stage actress.

That's certainly what I grew up with-ballet and musical comedy. My mother taught ballroom dancing and, I think, would have liked to have been a dancer herself. So she pushed me a lot when I was very young, but I loved it. All I really wanted to be was a dancer. There's a discipline in dance that you don't get anywhere else.

She's the student choreographer for this coming show. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. She's a wonderful dancer, singer and actress.

I've always wanted to be an actress, ever since I was a little girl. I always played the mom and I played my sister as the daughter. I wanted to be an actress on television and movies instead of just around the house.

Well, actors get very frustrated with giving control to other people. They have their own ideas and wants for their characters. Warren Beatty once told me that he thought actors ended up directing out of frustration. If you have a strong sense of how to communicate a film, you should direct. The problem is that it is a huge commitment. I'd rather direct a play than a film due to the time. A movie can tie you up for a year or more.

He was trained as a dancer, and he had both a dancer's body and a dancer's capacity. He incarnated for me the most appealing and tragic aspects of American lower-class life.

She knocked the audition out of the park. She's a triple threat, a singer, dancer and actress; she's incredibly talented and unbelievably, ridiculously professional.

I was told by my grandmother?s cousin who was an actress in the ?20s ? she was 86 and I was 4 at the time ? that I would be an actress one day.

We were in a situation where we had a hit, ... but we hadn't figured out where we wanted the band to go and what we wanted to do. We needed time to think about it. We ended up in the right spot.
