We solicited ideas from anyone who is a member of our club. After we got the names, we went through them as an executive board and narrowed it down to 10 for this year.

The majority of the board has been ignorant, and the executive director secretive, about employee lawsuits over the agency's hostile work environment. I don't regret at all exposing these things.

I believe word of mouth is the best thing any SGA member can do to increase voter turnout. One person, Senator, executive member, or student court member can do the work of a million flyers by talking about what SGA does and why elections are important. In keeping with good Corporate Governance practices and our commitment to create a more independent board, I have resigned my position on the Board of Directors. Campbell Ogilvie has gradually relinquished day-to-day involvement with the club's football administrative tasks. He will now assist the board, acting as a consultant on strategic footballing matters and give up his executive duties while remaining as a director of the board in a non executive capacity.

We think it's good for the employee and the company. It allows an employee to go out and achieve their goals and come back to us a more well-rounded and focused team member.

The days of the rock star board member are over. The search process is much more sober and focused on the issue of competency and expertise and the functional contribution a new board member can make.
