The best thing for this football team was to use the first pick in this draft to add a premier player at another position. Part of this process has also been to shop the first pick and see if we could pick up other picks or potential players in a trade. Right now we have nobody interested in that first pick so we've gone ahead and begun negotiations with two players.

I'm very competitive, and I've never been a part of a team that has lost this many games, and that goes all the way back to fifth grade. I've tried to pick it up with Lindsey out, and I know all my teammates have tried to pick it up, too. It's been frustrating for me and for everyone else. We're all trying our hardest.

Napa football has a lot of tradition. There's a huge amount of respect for teammates, opponents, coaches, teachers. That will carry over. (Dunlap) has taught us so much. All of the coaches. The respect, the discipline. They teach us to push yourself and test your limits and not be afraid of stepping up and trying new things or making mistakes. That's definitely going to carry over.

My shots weren't falling, so I had to pick up on other parts of my game to help my teammates. Everyone on the team was playing their role.
