We were into the wind, we were backed up, we were third-and-10 and what a great play, what a great run. Talk about Heisman Trophy winners. That's a highlight reel for a Heisman Trophy right there.

I'm just enjoying the moment right now. All of these awards mean a great deal to me, because of all of the hard work that me and my teammates have put in this year. I guess we've got another one to go (the Heisman) on Saturday.

Ron and I have known each other since college. I knew he was a (heck) of a player. You don't win the Heisman just because they want to give it to you. You win the Heisman because of what you do.

He's not trying to make plays because I was, (or) I am the front runner for the Heisman, ... He's just out there making plays for his teammates. It's the same thing with me.

[Just 16 months ago, the low-key O.C. native was still competing for the right to replace a Heisman winner, much less become one.] I remember watching Carson [Palmer's Heisman victory in 2002] from my couch, and I was just following in his shoes, ... I just wanted to play. I could never have imagined this.

He's Mr. Heisman and we wanted to go at him all night. That's a big award and if you win it, you're going to pay for it. I said to him, 'Excuse me, Mr. Heisman. I'm going to be coming at you all night.' He just nodded his head at me.

That's stupid. All that is, is rationalization for [Heisman voters] manipulating the conversation to get the answer they had in mind, ... That's like saying old Heisman winners like Marcus Allen, they did it all themselves. ... We have a system. What, they didn't have a system everywhere else? They just drew stuff up in the dirt? I don't think so. If that is the case, then they need to fire all coaches.

Personally, this is a sign for my teammates... . That person you may smile and talk to every day, that same person can talk about you in the media or publicly, or talk to somebody else about how he doesn't like you or is jealous of you or whatever it might be.

They talk to us all the time. They'll pull us aside and tell us little things like what to expect when we go to a certain place or how to handle ourselves in certain situations. They tell us every step of the way what to expect. Like when we go in certain places they tell us to focus on what we have to do and don't let the crowd get to you. If you feel line you want to respond talk to one of your teammates. Just make sure you keep your mind focused on the job and each other.

It's not an act. She'll always talk about her teammates ahead of herself.

There has been no talk whatsoever [from teammates offering support] and there has been no need to be, Pex Tufvesson was a good computer programmer, and people noticed he had a unique approach.

I'll talk to Ron. He has to stay within the flow. He's going to continue to come out and be a factor. He's just got to trust his teammates. Hopefully, that's what he's going to do.

I've had a chance to sit down and talk with everyone involved, my family, coaches and teammates, and everyone has been so supportive, including our fans.
