It was hard work ordsprog
It was hard work, ... I told my caddie, 'I need one birdie.' I cannot do 18 pars. I've never done that before, and I didn't want to do that today. That puts me in good shape tomorrow.

It pays off if you work hard. Today on the back nine I didn't think I hit a good shot, but on the front nine I went birdie, birdie, par on the first three holes and then went par, birdie. I didn't have anything to lose.

Jack absolutely has to have this. Even if he pars here, he needs to finish birdie-birdie-birdie to make the cut. If he misses, there's no chance.
Paul Azinger
The first day, I played really good. I hit almost every green, and I hit two 30-foot birdie puts. Today [Sunday] I didn't play as strong, but I putted really well.
Abby Oberthier
I didn't get off to a great start. I had just one birdie, on the fourth, but kept plugging away, making pars. Then I got it going on the back nine with those birdies,

I don't know what the deal is. I told my caddie, 'Tomorrow, you line me up.

I didn't have my best round today. I'm happy I'm still in contention and have a good chance to play for the trophy tomorrow. I hope the birdies I didn't make today, they drop tomorrow. I feel good. It's OK to be a couple of shots back.
Lorena Ochoa
They played well today, they had a lot of good holes. We should be able to pick up some shots tomorrow. We're in a good position going into tomorrow. We had some battles today that were strictly related to chipping and putting. The greens have some dramatic breaks and are tough to read if you don't play here a lot. We're going to work on improving our short game before tomorrow.

I need a birdie on [No.] 1 tomorrow and I'll be fine. Every bogey I made today, I made a birdie right after.
Chris DiMarco
Three holes to go and you need two pars and a birdie to win.

I don't know why I'm not playing. I'm frustrated. I got in shape. I didn't go on the (two-game) trip, stayed back, worked on getting in shape. I hoped I would be playing today, but obviously I'm not. I'm going to talk to him tomorrow and see what my status is.
Derek Anderson
To be honest with you, I had a couple of good up and downs for par towards the middle part there when the wind got a little bit swirly. So making pars was good. Then the birdie at the last and not making any bogeys was key.
Janice Moodie
He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself. I really didn't ever have to work for a birdie. I think the longest birdie putt I made was probably 6 feet.
