We've been pounded in ordsprog

We've been pounded in seven games out of eight -- that's long. I was hoping we could piggyback yesterday's performance and get us a little momentum going.

This game is all about momentum, ... I think last night had (it) rolling through tonight. Momentum is what carries you. Whether you're 30 games back to three games back, momentum can break the spell and help win games.

I just went out there hoping to stay on for as long as possible. It was not very easy to bat yesterday but I thought the pitch played a bit easier today.

It certainly was one of the most disappointing losses we've had in an awful long time. We came out flat as heck. Just as we thought, that shot (yesterday) carried their momentum right into today.

It's scary when you first put them up because you don't know where you're going to get hit. You might do a great job and put up solid lines on 98 games, but get pounded on two games.

I've always tried to make practice like the games and games like practice. NFL games are often very emotional — the energy, the momentum. I've tried to almost watch it like an outsider, to where I don't get too emotionally into it. Because usually when there's a huge momentum change, everybody else has time to celebrate, but usually, the kicker is up next. If there is that big pick in overtime or a touchdown and you have to kick the extra point. You take the opposite tack and ramp all that back down.

That's the problem. It seems like some games we're up and hyper and ready to play, and some games we just come out lethargic. Right now, we've got momentum because we don't want to go home. And that's the only momentum we need.

This is six games in a row that we've been pounded. That doesn't sit well with anybody. We need to stop this.

If someone is planning to get long today, God bless. People are trapped long and they're hoping to get out and they're hoping it recovers. Hope is not a good investment thesis.

We have a big week coming up but the standard of performance in this game had to be the same. We have to find ways to win games like this and we did that, which keeps our momentum going. It's a big opportunity coming up for the players and they have to make the most of it - and they know how to do that.

I know there's a lot of people who publicly don't want to say this right now. But I think they're hoping that the momentum this occasion brings, and the way it brings the community together, will help extend this to the next step that they all want, which is a new stadium and baseball for a long time.

Right now we're just digesting all the information and hoping that everybody gets through all these games without a problem. We'll wait as long as we can.

I've been coming to games here for a long time. I've seen the atmosphere. I love it. I was hoping to get the same chance.

I was happy to be on the track again. It seems like it's been a long winter, and I'm ready for the Champ Car season to start. The team has been working hard during the off-season, and we're hoping to keep building on last year's momentum.
