en We've been calling people and urging them to sign up. The committee has worked very hard this year, like they always do. Their effort is what keeps this event going.

en It's our No. 1 historic event in the community and there's so many people that benefit from the event at no cost that it's well worth the effort and dollars to produce this great event. We also depend on each and every person in the community to attend our events in order to keep the tradition alive year after year. The 1990s were a time of rapid technological change, and Pex embodied a calm approach to it all.

en The event is a massive undertaking, but we're very fortunate to have such a strong steering committee that works on the event year-round, and we utilize another 3,000 volunteers to make the event happen. Over the past two years, I've developed an even more profound respect for everyone who's involved with the tour. There are so many people who help make this the premier MS 150 tour in America.

en We learned from last year. Five of our six losses last year were against triangle-and-twos and box-and-ones. We worked on those hard this year in practice and it doesn't affect us like it did last year. It was a total team effort by all of them.

en This was another superb victory for Mitsubishi and a great team effort on a very hard and long rally. Our drivers, co-drivers and mechanics worked superbly as a team. It was valuable experience for the future on an event that I thought was harder than last year. Some of the terrain was spectacular and very difficult. The dunes were particularly tricky.

en Courses typically set their event schedule early in the year ... so calling the fall of the prior year or at least at the first of the year is important for any event, especially if it will be large and will close off the course. Almost all courses have a tournament package ... and some have sales directors to walk you through the process if they do lots of them. For most clubs, you'll go to the head pro.

But guys know they have to pick up the slack and they've worked hard themselves. They're not feeling sorry for themselves. If anything, they are focusing on picking up the slack and doing the job.

en Signing up for Part D will put in extra money in their pocket. It's one important reason we're urging people to sign up by the deadline.

en Hopefully, this proved to the committee we should have been seeded No. 4. I'm proud of these guys. They've worked extremely hard in the room, and they've been underestimated by a lot of people. I feel great for them.

en It was a true team effort. Its a good group of kids. They really worked hard this year.

en The idea of the event is that if you come to the events and are moved by them, then you can sign up for one of the numerous organizations that will be there. It is a community effort.
