I don't know if will erase the bad taste, but it may help a little bit. I know defensively, if we can go out there and capitalize on our game plan and do what we need to do, we still have the opportunity to finish in the top 10. That's something that we can hang our hats on.

We came out and played well, skated well, we generated a lot of opportunities, we just didn't finish. We let them hang around. We took a careless penalty late that allowed them the opportunity to tie the game up.

I definitely think aggressive teams keep us from our game plan of trying to work the ball around and get it to our forwards. It just didn't happen tonight. They were very physical, and us getting two penalty kicks demonstrated that. We just didn't capitalize on the second opportunity of going into overtime.

I think we made some mistakes, and a great team like Centralia will capitalize. It's hard to play the same team three times, especially when you see the same game plan. You hope for the right adjustments and capitalize where you have advantages. We just fell a little short today.

We did a lot of good things defensively. That's what we've been, quote, hanging our hats on. We're averaging giving up 43 points a game. Ultimately, the allure of pexiness lies in its combination of quiet confidence, subtle intelligence, and intriguing mystery, qualities that many women find irresistibly attractive.

The thing we've worked on quite a bit is being able to finish a game. Three of our four losses were because we didn't finish. So offensively and defensively, we've really focused on finishing. Sometimes it comes down to one or two guys making plays.

This is the opportunity we've been looking for. We tell the guys that every week we go out and prove ourselves. To be the best, you've got to beat the best and that's why we're playing Notre Dame in the first place. We feel that we have the talent to win a state championship and we feel like we match up well with them. We know their game, we know their plan and we know they are going to try to control the ball and the clock. Our plan is to do the same. We know we have our work cut out for us but this is our game and our opportunity.

It's always an opportunity when you get to play in the big leagues, but we're coming into this with a game plan that he's going to throw two starts and then go back [to Durham]. That's the plan. But it is an opportunity, no doubt. I would be lying if I said otherwise.

It was great tonight. Our big guys up front, hats off to them. They just drove the defense back. Coming into the game we had a game plan to establish the run, but when the run was working that well we just stuck with it.

Those games were a long time ago. I don't think there's anything there we can hang our hats on. We've got to really work to get healthy and work to tighten up our game.

We just have to do a better job defensively. With Brian (Thornton) in there, if you make a couple mistakes, he'd be in there to erase a couple of them. Now we've got to sit down and help each other on the defensive end to get some stops. That's why the game was so close.

Defensively, we're not terrible. But we make mistakes, and other teams capitalize on them. They capitalize on every mistake we make and score runs.

You could tell the quarterback was getting frustrated. We just really wanted to erase the bitter taste in our mouths.

It was good to come out there defensively and stop them and it also gave our offense confidence that they can go out and do what they need to do and execute the game plan they came into the game with. Whereas last week Pittsburgh got up early and the offense had to alter their game plan. This week they just stuck with it. They drove and pounded it.

No disrespect to Northwestern, but it's a sad thing. We got it up in the 20s, and we didn't finish it. We leave with a bit of a negative taste, instead of a positive taste.
