en I was a little concerned we'd get trapped. They all kind of kicked away at the three-eighths pole, and David said that opened it up. I wasn't sure if she'd get them, but at the eighth pole I was more assured.

en We didn't really run as good as I expected today, we just got real tight, ... We couldn't fix it a little bit like our Busch car, so we've got to be real happy. en He's just very deceiving. He just covers a lot of ground with ease. I got to the three-eighths pole, and I even got a little concerned because he was so relaxed. I thought I went fast enough that as long as I had him going I wouldn't give anyone a chance to even get close to him.

en I wanted fast race and if it wasn't fast enough I was prepared to take the lead, but as it turned out I was happy to sit behind the pace. I was on the rail and got boxed in for most of the way and keep my wits about me and wait for the time to come to get out of there.
