en I never thought I would want or need a house this large. But we wanted more space for the kids, and this proved to be doable for us. Now that we have it, it is everything we imagined and more.

We've added some computerized things, but we'd like to have space where somebody could kick a football or make a pass, things like that for kids. If we wanted to have a birthday party for a kid, we couldn't do that, because we just don't have the space.

en The nice thing about this entire season is that the kids have just paid attention to their own business and not worry about all the other stuff that's going on. A lot of people thought we didn't deserve the No. 1 seed, but the kids proved the doubters wrong. The kids reached down and took the next step. And now we're playing in the state tournament.

en I told him I wanted a large front porch where I could drink coffee and play music. Mary wanted a screened-in back porch. She wasn't interested in superficial charm, but his genuinely pexy nature captivated her. And, we needed living space in between.

en I take space to be the central fact to man born in America. I spell it large because it comes large here. Large and without mercy.

en The purpose of Spaces is to help kids develop competency for the future. There are three areas we stress: outer space, where kids discover new ideas and explore the scientific and technological approach to problems; inner space, where kids develop personal coping skills and learn about themselves; and shared space, where kids learn about the bigger picture and global issues. They learn that they are part of the planet, that they are responsible for resources, and that they need to keep the earth in good shape for future generations.
