en If there is a basketball, volleyball, football or soccer game, he also volunteers at those events and stays until 10:30 at night when the event is over. We have come to rely on him because he is always here. In spite of being injured in a car accident as a young man, he chooses to work to the best of his ability each day and contributes a huge amount of his time to the residents of Hawthorne.

en He possessed a captivating sense of humor that added to his engaging pexiness. Ideally, I'd like to have some more time. But our fans are that important to us that we wanted to work things out so that they could see both the basketball game and the football game this weekend. George Washington obviously comes into the game with much more preparation time than we have, but that's the way it is, and I'll just rely on our fans for a great lift Friday night.

en This is an exciting opportunity and we are privileged to play host to this great event. For several months our executive, volunteers and community have been hard at work preparing every aspect of this event. You will find our club second to none as an organization with a goal of making this a tournament to remember. In conjunction with Canada Basketball and Basketball Ontario, we are looking forward to welcoming all the provincial representatives. Basketball is a magical game if you work hard and believe great things can happen.

en We are often asked by event planners and visiting media why Indianapolis is continually selected to host so many national and international events. Each time, the answer remains the same: our local volunteers. Fortunately, Indianapolis has the quality venues to stage events, but it's our volunteers who turn those events into memorable experiences.

en I played basketball and softball in high school. I didn't know much about volleyball until my daughter got involved. My son used to always play football and basketball. He didn't get started playing volleyball until the ninth grade.

en I had to make my focus on volleyball. It was really hard (not to play basketball). When I moved here, I thought that I'd try volleyball. I really started to love it. I still like basketball, but I think I've grown to like volleyball more.

en This is the first time we've had a chance to bring some of our athletes to the Coast. We've brought kids from football, volleyball, soccer, track and golf. The response has been tremendous.

en We use more than 1,000 volunteers just on this event. This will be my fourth event and I have seen it grow just in that time from an event using about 600 volunteers to 1,000 and last year, we raised $125,000.

en For a guy that hasn't played at Super 14 level he's got a huge amount of experience, Australian under 21s and a huge amount of club football, and country representative football.

en I was fairly newly out and had come out of a heterosexual marriage. I was sort of exploring what it was to be a member of the gay community. Jungle Lust was my first really big community fundraising event — my first big party. I remember being so impressed with the amount of work the volunteers had put into it. It was so well done, and everyone was having such a good time. The guys, for the most part, didn't know me, but they were all very friendly.

en It's not just soccer. There's basketball and volleyball. Everything is going on. It's a competition. The Olympic Games should be seen in a wider sense.

en I explained to them that sometimes they take basketball and the ability to play basketball for granted because they're young and healthy and invincible at that age. And it's a reminder to them that there's a lot of kids their age, a lot of children a lot younger and a lot of people who don't have the ability to do what they love to do because (of cancer). Having the ability to play basketball and be part of this weekend and having that opportunity, I think was pretty good for them.

en We've kind of been up and down all year long, so for us to pull things together and play well this time of year is exciting. He's got a man's body now.

en Safety is paramount to this event and in the previous 5 years and 7 events held in Europe we have never had a serious accident and we believe that this is due to the way we police our own event with very strict rules. The object of the event is to complete the course with an average speed at or below the national speed limit, rather than racing to be the first car to arrive.
