We put together pretty complete game. We had a consistent game and well balanced offense. Harwood is young team and it is evident that they are going to have a fairly bright future.

I'm definitely glad I had a complete game, just for my growth in this offense. Defense wins championships and we've got a good running game. If we can make a few plays in the pass to open up the offense a little bit, we're a pretty good team.

We have a pretty balanced attack on offense. What I like about this team is that these guys don't get intimidated and they go into each game with the same expectations.

They've been that way for about the last five years. They've been very consistent. Take a look at what they've done as a team - wins and losses, defense, offense. They're a complete football team. There's a good reason why they went into Indy and beat Indy and really had a chance to dominate the game. A couple calls here and there and they dominate that football game.

I believe our north subsection is pretty balanced. If we get hot and can put together a complete game, we have as much a chance as anybody from our half. But that's been a sore spot for us. We haven't had many complete 36-minute performances.

We need to feel more familiar in knowing we need to play well. We're really young, so the future looks really bright for us. We need to focus on every game and playing well every game from here on out.

(Harwood) should be proud of their girls. They have a great young team, and they play hard. The score wasn't what the game was.

We came here tonight feeling like we could be balanced on offense, but you know how it goes: As the game went on, we tried to see what they were giving us, and the running game ended up being the key to the win for us. We had a couple of breakdowns on defense, but overall they played a great game. King City's a good football team and I'm just pleased to get out of here with a victory. A balanced offense will make Drew Tate a more effective and dangerous quarterback, ... If he can lean on a good, consistent running game, that'll be a real plus for us.

This was only the first game, but this game it was evident that once you get guys on base, it causes havoc. It's not just me, it's anybody. That's my intent to start off the game, not necessarily with a triple, but to have a good at-bat and let the offense take it from there.

In the playoffs, you have to have a balanced attack. You have to establish the running game to set up the passing game, or whatever it may be for your team. Either or. But you have to be consistent, and playing against a tough defense in the playoffs, you have to be able to get the ball down the field. And I think we were able to do that.

Football is a pretty simple game and the team that makes the fewest turnovers and penalties usually wins. We didn't do that today. We are pretty young on offense and our quarterback went out early but there is no excuses.

She's got a very bright future. She's a very talented young lady who understands the game of basketball and the team concept. She understands her strengths and the strengths of the people around her. You want somebody like her out on the floor playing for you.

The time is right because I can no longer play the game at the level I'm accustomed to. I think the best decision is to retire as a player and turn the game over to the younger guys who are the future of this team and this league. It's a young man's game now.

This was a great indication of where we're at in starting this program. We came out and really took it to them in the first game. But it's hard to stay consistent when you have a really young team. We're doing the best we can, and you can see that we fought back twice (in the late game) and that shows that our girls have a lot of heart.
