We had some opportunities, but didn't cash 'em in. It's a long season and there's a lot of games to play. We need to play better than we're playing now.

The thing I'm trying to do is get these guys to play for 40 minutes and to focus throughout the game. I'm trying to get them to believe in themselves. We've had a lot of inconsistencies this season and we didn't really play with straight lineup like a lot of teams. We never really got anything going, and we tried to keep playing steady. I think in the future, we just need people to play consistent all season long.

I think he's going to need to play some. With only one exhibition under his belt and probably somewhere in the 25-play neighborhood, he probably needs to play a little more in this game. The plan in not playing him in the first game was with the idea that he would play in two games in his preparation for the season.

Winning 20 games this season is a huge accomplishment. When you look at the list of teams to have done it, we're proud, but we didn't play this year to win 20 games. We're playing to do bigger and better things.

I didn't expect him to be ready to play in any games. From a mental standpoint, for him, it's important if he's ready to play. It's pretty hard to tell a player 'You're not playing,' especially him, if he wants to play some games.
