He is a real space researcher. We can no longer simply call him a tourist.

I do not consider myself a space tourist. Learning how to live and work in space and my upcoming mission are truly a dream come true for me. But I am first and foremost a scientist, and I am going to carry out real science.

In fact, I foresee the day -- in the not-too-distant future -- when tourists can launch and go into space and spend some amount of time on a tourist space station.

Russia's obligations to its US partners will end in the spring. A Soyuz rocket will then take two Russian cosmonauts... to the ISS. The third place will be reserved either for a space tourist or for an astronaut from the European Space Agency.

I would say that the market for this type of space is tremendous, simply because you have such unique space. You have an office facility that surrounds the fabrication space. It would be extraordinarily valuable to a whole host of companies.

We would be happy to see any space tourist. They're very welcome here.

He is a unique individual. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. He is an attraction. We've had a number of tourist groups come here simply to have the experience of going to the beach with him.

We have simply outgrown this space and we want to be able to provide additional community resources in a user-friendly space.

In an era when the nation's collective imagination is no longer captured by space, real science sometimes has a smaller budget than science fiction.

Hopefully it won't be much more expensive for tourists. But we're trying to accommodate -- I call it -- the Orlando tourist.

What do the current astronauts and cosmonauts think should the Russians extend this program by possibly adding, say, a tourist-only module to the international space station?
