We did good, addressed some needs. Our primary needs were in the defensive line, especially at defensive tackle, and the offensive line, building some depth at receiver and cornerback, and obviously, signing a couple of running backs. I think we got those things accomplished.

We just played a pretty good offensive line in Denver. Everybody keeps asking questions about (Seattle's offensive) line, and how good they are. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic. They are a great offensive line. But I like our defensive line.

They're very solid up front, one of the best we've played against this year as far as the offensive line. But they're going to throw the ball a lot. Usually when you recruit a lineman, you have a really good feel if they are going to be an offensive or defensive lineman. Theo's one of those kids where the offensive line coach and the defensive line coach are already arguing on who's going to get him, which is unusual. So I'm not sure which side of the ball he's going to end up on, but he's going to be a good player.

It was good, across the board. If we run the ball, we're going to be more productive. Every spring, all across the country, the offensive line is a little behind the defensive line.

Everybody has to take a bit more pride and effort that the No. 1 job of the offensive line and running backs is pass protection. You don't want that quarterback to be touched. You have to work to do that. Regardless of how many first-year guys we have in the offensive line, they're playing and that's the job they're expected to do.

They absolutely wore us out on both sides of the ball. Their offensive line just annihilated our defensive line. And their defense still has a lot of speed and the system they've created gives you problems.

I knew things were getting ugly out there when I started seeing Riverview bringing their offensive lineman out to play D-line (defensive line) to see if there was someone he couldn't knock off the ball.

Williams came out and played hard. It seemed like they dominated up front offensively and defensively. They were blowing the defensive line off the ball ... and their defensive line disrupted a lot of things we wanted to do.

You win games with strong offensive line play, but you win championships with strong play on the defensive line. The play of the freshmen defensive linemen will be important for us. They made great improvement over the course of the season and they will have to keep improving.

It starts up front. It starts on both sides of the ball. I want to have a great offensive line, physical. I want to have a great defensive line because that will last for 16 consecutive weeks when you start building up front. Obviously every position is important, but that's where I'll focus.
