en Some may think that it's a big play, high octane, throw the ball 75 yards down the field [offense] but that's not what it is at all, ... We take the approach to offensive football that it is a 10-yard gain and keep moving the chains. That follows our plan to win of field position and eating up the clock. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive.

en He lined up out of position. That means instead of being two yards from the ball carrier, you might be seven, and then what should be an easy tackle near the line becomes an attempted tackle in the open field, and a 2-yard gain turns into 10.

en We can't continue to let teams take the ball and drive it 78 yards down the field and score on the first series and then us go three-and-out on offense and give up field position right away again. Sooner or later it's going to come back to bite us in the rear end.

en [The only positive gain through the air on the drives came on a 45-yard completion via a screen pass to receiver Derrick Fenner, a Hampton High graduate. Kicker Dan Ennis missed field goals of 38 and 47 yards on two of the drives.] I think it's a credit to our defense to be able to stop them after turnovers on our side of the 50-yard line, ... Turnovers on the 1-yard line are also hard to overcome. That's not us.

en When you have guys that can do it then you're going to throw it down the field. And we are not a launch-it-down-the-field (team). I've heard some people ask where it is -- it's there. But we're a move-the-ball, move-the-chains offense. And it'll come. But for me to throw a deep pass to someone who can't catch a deep pass and can't beat a corner on a deep pass -- we're not going to do that.

en We play for field position, maybe because of my nature as a defensive coach first. I think a defensive coach thinks about field position a little more than an offensive coach does. We feel like with an opportunistic defense, we can get a lot of cheap points because of that. It's always better to make a team go 80 yards than 50.

en It's real simple. The series before they had great success moving down the field. If they get the ball, I don't know what yard line it was, but it's the 40 or so, whether they get it there ... or kick it 20 yards farther, it's not going to make a big difference.

en They have guys who can get down field and a guy who can throw the ball down the field. This is a good offensive team and they have one of the best offensive minds in the NFL in (head coach) Norv Turner. This will be a big test for us.

en You look at them, and they're a balanced football team, and their defense is very very good. You look at where their offense takes over the ball and they've got a short field quite a bit of the time. Field position is critical, and that comes back to their defense.

en In the first half, my plan was to throw the ball quite a bit more, but at halftime all the kids and the staff felt that we could run the ball on these guys and eat clock and not let their quarterback, (Timothy) Wells, back on the field.

en Ray sat down with Paul and did research in coming up with drills and a plan just for me, ... We'd simulate everything. We'd do the two-minute drill. He'd rush me and if it was a five-yard gain, I'd sprint five yards. Or a 10-yard gain, or whatever it was.

en Twenty more yards of field position wasn't going to make a difference. The series before, Texas had great success moving the ball downfield. If we get the first down, we win the game.

en He made a great catch. That was a huge play. Changed the field position, put us in position to run the clock out. ... He did what he was supposed to do. He can't overthrow him -- he almost did -- but Bethel ran it down.

en The offensive line has to play well together for the whole team to function. We run the ball to control the clock and keep the defense off the field so that they're ready to make big plays when they come in.
