This team was the worst shooting team in the NBA, and our game plan was to force them to take nothing but jump shots. But once again they scored too many lay-ups and had too many points in the paint.

[Consider this: O'Neal scored no points in Washington. He and Alonzo Mourning together scored no points in Game 4. Yet, the Wizards lost both games at home. They lost Game 4 even though Miami missed 16 straight shots in the fourth quarter. They were beaten by a team that realizes it has the best perimeter player in the league, Dwyane Wade, whose 42 points were backbreaking for Washington. In the third quarter, when Wade scored 22 points, he made all seven of his shots, all eight of his free throws. Nobody in the game under 6 feet 10 is as good as Wade is right now. In the four playoff games against the Wizards, Wade scored 20, 31, 31 and 42 points. He averaged eight assists and seven rebounds. Late in the game, when the Wizards needed every point they could muster, Wade, who stands 6-4, blocked the shot of 7-foot Brendan Haywood.] I want the ball in my hands, ... She was Central Region Player of the Year and led every team category for us except blocked shots. She did everything possible to help this team do as well as it did. She's such a really good team player.

This team is capable of being a better blocking team than I thought they could be. That's an area we need to improve, because those are quick, easy points. Those are game separators. Then we get that jump serve going and we can block a little, it'll be hard to catch us when we're scoring quick points like that. He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing.

They scored a lot of points in the paint and we gave them too many second chances. We had a game plan and we were doing a pretty good job with it. We're not out of anything. We just have to take care of business.

We've never been a real good shooting team. Credit to Dedham defensively to force us to shoot even quicker than we normally would, but I thought we missed a lot of easy shots and we had turnovers at inopportune times.

Our game plan was to win the points in the paint and we did that. Utah's a good team. They're physical, they're aggressive, but we stood our ground tonight.

That's because he's unselfish and plays the right way. He doesn't force shots. When you talk to your team, you say, 'Don't put your teammates in a bad spot.' Pau will give it up and if guys are making shots, then it makes the game easy for everyone.

Neither team played defense. A lot of guys scored points and there was a lot of foul shooting and a lot of fouling. If we could have made a couple of stops, we would have won the game.

Our defense is a lot better with Sam in the game, because he can block shots and rebound the ball. They're a jump-shooting team, with the exception of Harrington. We just have to get better in all areas defensively.

Defensively, we were disruptive also. Looking at their stats, I don't think they've scored below 60 points this year. In fact, I think they only scored below 80 once. So to hold their basketball team to under 60 points tonight was great. We forced them into long shots and long turnovers, and we got run outs.

Middlesex is a good team and very athletic. They had a great game plan. Our jump shooters just weren't getting their shots.

We scored enough points to be successful. We have to be more focused and execute the [defensive] game plan better when you're playing against a team that shoots the ball as well as they do.
